Overview
Through our Employment Skills/Job Training Program, each individual receives certification training, on-the-job training and mentorship, which produces verifiable civilian workforce experience and the training necessary to earn associated industry-recognized professional certifications, validating their experience and expertise. While in training, we assist participants with resume writing, LinkedIn profiles, and employment. Our mission is to assist the service members with obtaining industry certification training, and employment opportunities in the IT/Cybersecurity field.

Eligibility
Depending on pathway selection, typically a HS diploma or equivalent and basic IT/Networking/Cybersecurity knowledge or interest. Active Secret clearance is preferred but not required.

FAQs
When should I apply for SkillBridge?
Service members may participate in a SkillBridge opportunity no earlier than 180 days prior to release from Active Duty. Members should contact their installation’s SkillBridge point of contact for more details.
What is the command approval process?
Service members should contact their installation SkillBridge point of contact for details about Service and command-specific guidance about the SkillBridge Approval process. Intellectual Point will provide all required information to the service member for their approval application. Service members should plan for the approval process to take 30 days from application to start of the SkillBridge program.
I filled out the SkillBridge Interest Form…what next?
Once you fill out our interest form, you will receive an email from us outlining next steps in the process. Be sure to check your spam folder if you do not receive an email.

Is there a fee for me to participate in a SkillBridge program.
Participation in the SkillBridge program is no cost to participants. As part of the Intellectual Point program, SkillBridge participants will be attending a training program with Intellectual Point followed by an internship with our host company. Students will need to apply for Vet Tec to cover costs of the initial certification training. Participation in the internship portion is of no additional cost to the Veteran.
How will the host company select their interns?
When you submit the interest form, you will provide a copy of your resume. Intellectual Point will share the resume with the host company who can then interview the candidates and make their selection.
What if I don’t get selected for the internship?
As part of the SkillBridge program, service members can opt to participate in the Certification Training Program only. Intellectual Point will provide job placement assistance for individuals in our training programs.
Will I get an interview with the company I am interning with?
Yes. You will receive an interview with your host company during the course of your internship.
Can I apply for jobs and interview with other companies while participating in the SkillBridge program?
Yes. Applying to multiple companies is not only allowed but also encouraged for the best chance of success following the completion of your SkillBridge program.
