Are you a transitioning Servicemember or Veteran with service-connected disabilities seeking to prepare for and secure meaningful employment opportunities? The Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) program is designed to assist individuals like you in achieving your career goals.
Understanding VR&E Program Benefits
The VR&E program offers a range of services to help eligible individuals with disabilities prepare for, obtain, and maintain suitable employment. To qualify for the program, your character of discharge must be other than dishonorable, and you must meet specific criteria related to your service or disability status.
Benefits of VR&E Program
- Education Support: VR&E can assist in funding education and training programs that align with your career goals. For a Pathway program at Intellectual Point, you will want to follow the Long-Term Education Track.
- Employment Assistance: The program provides job placement services, vocational counseling, and support to help you secure meaningful employment. If you wish to attend one of our Pathways, this is a great opportunity in connection with Intellectual Point’s career services.
- Financial Aid: Approved participants receive financial support, including a subsistence allowance based on the training facility’s zip code, their dependency status , education methodology, and GI Bill benefits remaining. Additional funding can be provided at the discretion of the VRC for computers, vouchers for exams, etc.
- Transition Assistance: Upon completion of training, additional transitional assistance may be available to support your entry into a new career path.

How to Apply for VR&E Benefits
To apply for VR&E benefits, you can complete an online application on the VA website or submit a completed application (VAF 28-1900) at your local VA regional office. With the appropriate work from you, the veteran, the application process is straightforward. Once approved, you can access a variety of supportive services to aid in your vocational rehabilitation journey.
