Intellectual Point’s Certification Courses Approved for GI Bill® Reimbursement by the Virginia State Approving Agency
(Sterling, VA) – On February 14, 2022, Intellectual Point received official notice that their certification exam preparatory courses have been approved by the Virginia State Approving Agency for GI Bill® reimbursement under Title 38 of the United States Code, Section 3315B. This approval was enacted with an effective date of August 1, 2021. All veterans who are eligible for the GI Bill® who have paid for a certification prep course since that date will soon be able to seek reimbursement from the VA for the cost of the course. Veterans moving forward will be able to seek reimbursement for courses they pay for out of pocket.
Once the VA processes the Virginia State Approving Agency’s approval notice, veterans will be able to seek reimbursement from the VA for many of the most popular and high-demand certification courses offered by Intellectual Point.
On August 20, 2020, Congress passed Public Law 116-154 Ryan Kules and Paul Benne Specially Adapted Housing Improvement Act of 2019, which allowed for this classification of courses to be approved for GI Bill® for the first time. The law took effect on August 1, 2021. Intellectual Point is now the first education provider in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the second nationwide, to receive an approval under this new section of the law.
